If you were to read through my post, you would see that last spring Chloe had to have some cavities filled. Well, we just went through that again and this time fortunately, it was only one cavity she needed filled. She has very soft emamel on her baby teeth and they are just not holding up. As the dentist started drilling, she began to scream and he had to give her more novocaine, my poor baby! There was nothing I could do but hold her hand and tell her everything was going to be okay (eventually). As he was drilling, he told me it was too big to fill and he was going to have to put a 'party hat' on the tooth to strengthen it. A party hat, while it sounds fun, is just another way of saying a silver cap. :(
So by the time we were done, I was exhausted. She was a tough little trooper, I mean there were tears, but at the end she appeared no worse the wear. I wish I could say the same for myself. I have never fainted in my almost 31 years of life, but I am pretty sure that I was as close to it as I have ever been. I felt horrible, cold sweat, nautious, the whole gambit! HOPEFULLY, this will be the last time we have to have cavities filled for awhile!
