Today I had to do something that I hate more than anything else in the world, I made my daughter cry by taking her to the dentist. She had her checkup a few weeks ago, and today had to get three cavities filled.
While she was an exceptional patient, she was whimpering behind that 'raincoat' as they so gently call it. When she was finished, all she wanted was to be held. And for as much as I hated taking her to the dentist, I love each moment she needs me. I know that all too soon she will be a teenager who wants me to drop her off a block before the school or would rather hang out with her friends.
I am being selfish, but with her being an only child, where does that leave me in ten years? Yup, alone. And whild I want her to be a strong woman as an adult, I so cherish the moments like today.
Even following a trip to the dentist.

This is my story of watching our daughter grow up before my eyes. She is a beautiful, smart little girl and is going from baby to little lady way to fast. I know that I think I can remember all the funny things she says and does, but I don't even know what I had for breakfast. So this is our story!
